11th annual meeting of SSSL 2012 posterBalkan Music Box took a part as an observer on the 11th  Meeting of the Sete Sóis Sete Luas Cultural Network in Rovinj, Croatia, on May 5, 2012. Exchange of experiences, touristic and cultural offers and future festival development plans was a focus of this meeting. It was also very elegant way for the people of different nations and regions of Mediterranean to meet, become friends and grow closer relations for future collaborations. Presentation of Balkan Music Box’s reasons for trying to implement the idea of travelling cultural and touristic exchange, and steps taken towards the realization of festival on the Balkans, was helped with beautiful printed and video promo materials of Tourism Organization of Serbia.

Ambassadors, mayors, cultural and touristic officials met and discussed the future of the festival, but were also offered with a chance to get to know local customs, indigenous food and ethno music from beautiful region of Istria. Old town of Rovinj, its unique atmosphere, stunning coast, was combined with higher ground of Motovun’s city fortress and artists’ village Groznjan, in an act of ultimate hospitality that the municipality of Rovinj offered to Cultural Network of Sete Sóis Sete Luas.

Balkan Music Box was honored to represent Serbia on this meeting and will do its best to bring Sete Sóis Sete Luas to audiences across the Balkans.
